The smart delivery platform for your images
Centrally define in which formats and sizes your images should be available. DAMlivery takes care of the rest.
No periodic exports – every image you share is immediately available in all variants.
DAMlivery connects directly to your DAM system. You control when and for how long an image is available.
DAMlivery combines four processes into one: Images are fetched from the data source (e.g. DAM system), converted, stored and delivered in one step. This reduces complexity and makes the process reproducible.

Asset Lifecycle
Most enterprise DAM systems have functionalities to control the asset lifecycle. DAM systems update, lock or delete assets and allow for scheduled availability. DAMlivery adapts this information to extend asset lifecycle events to the variants.
Asset is updated
Asset is locked
Asset is deleted
Asset is available for a limited time
Control via DAM functions
Control via metadata
As mentioned in the previous section, DAMlivery gives you full control over your asset lifecycle. You have the security of always having the latest assets on your website, webshop, social media, etc. - the DAM system thus becomes the single source of truth. In addition, you no longer have problems with outdated, incorrectly converted or non-color-compliant assets.
Website/CMS
Images can be provided via URL directly from DAMlivery in the correct size and resolution and embedded on web pages, no separate upload to the CMS system is necessary.
Crop formats are important for the web experience, for example, different breakpoints are required for desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, etc. For this purpose, crop parameters (focus point, area specification) can be dynamically specified via the URL, stored in the saved preset in the DAMlivery or read from existing information fields.
URL generation is done for specified file formats, e.g. WebP and png/jpg as alternatives.
Webshop
Assets for the webshop are needed in different formats and sizes, for example for the main view, shopping cart view etc. These assets can be provided in the required variants by DAMlivery.
When exporting assets for the web store, e.g. via a PIM system, delivery URLs for different formats can be generated for each asset. This means that only the URLs are exported, not the assets themselves - this increases speed and you benefit from memory savings.
Original delivery, for example for the display of data sheets (pdf), is also possible.
Social Media
Assets for social media are required in various formats and sizes, e.g. for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. For this purpose, cropping parameters (focus point, area specification) can be dynamically specified via the URL, stored in the saved preset in the DAMlivery or read from existing information fields.
The delivery URL generated in this way is used in the corresponding social media channel and you have full control over the timeliness of the assets in your social media activities (unless the corresponding channel stores the assets on its own servers).
External provision of assets
Instead of uploading to sharing services, assets can be made available via DAMlivery per URL in different formats, sizes and color spaces, etc. This saves you additional costs and gives you the security of delivering only up-to-date and valid assets to external parties.
Thousands of images can be delivered dynamically in any number of variants with customized file names and at incredible speed for web stores, websites, portals and the like with minimal effort in one step. Each image needs to be fetched from the DAM system only once - no matter how many variants are generated.

Presets
Presets allow you to centrally manage the settings of your variants. For each preset, you can choose a unique, freely definable name that can contain letters and numbers. The preset is made available via the unique name.

In DAMlivery there are different ways to access the variants of an asset. The Preset URL API, the Encrypted URL API and the Dynamic Signed URL API. The structure of the different URLs is explained below.
Preset URL API
The Preset URL API can be used simply by exchanging the preset and asset ID.

Encrypted URLs can only be created via DAMlivery Rest API, the URLs are tamper-proof and hide information such as preset and asset ID.

Connectors link your backend system to the DAMlivery delivery platform. Depending on the backend system, more or less DAMlivery features can be supported. Lifecycle features are usually only supported by enterprise DAM systems. Our connector framework allows us to add more backend systems. The following connectors are available or in progress.
Is DAMlivery a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?
Please contact us, we regularly develop new connectors for different systems.
Presets are default settings that can be addressed via a freely definable name. A preset contains, for example, the size in pixels, the format and the image quality.
No, there are other access options: Encrypted URL API and the Signed URL API.
Yes, this is possible and makes sense, for example, to access videos or PDF documents. For security reasons, this should be combined with encryption.
To prevent access to resources in the DAM, the preset URLs can be encrypted via our REST API. This means that the asset ID can no longer be recognised and modified in the URL.
The Signed URL API is an enterprise feature that allows free access to the conversion unit. It is thus possible to convert assets and variants without presets by encoding the transformation instructions in the URL.

In the example above, the asset (ID:129) is cropped and scaled to a size of 300x300 pixels.
Gotcha! This website was created with a static site generator. During the build process all resources are resolved and included in the static build. This makes the site very fast. Exciting? -> https://jamstack.org/
Yes, that's right! These are only examples that have been shortened for better readability. The signature and also the encrypted URL would otherwise be much longer.
